Tottenham Ploughmans
Come & join us at Downhills Park (by the Café), Tottenham N17, for a delicious, Tottenham-produced ploughmans picnic
Sunday, 8 September 2013 - 12:00am to 4:00pm

There are three artisan food producers in Tottenham. You can’t buy their products in the area. None of them sell locally.

Wildes Cheese, hand made in Tottenham.

Flourish Bakery based just off the High Road sell at farmers markets in London and wholesales to restaurants.

Redemption Brewery sells at many bars and cafes in the west of the borough. The only place you can buy their beer in the east is at the Tottenham Conservative Club.

A few months ago I went to a talk given by Philip of Wildes Cheese at Bruce Castle. The room was packed; I was surprised that so many people wanted to know about cheese making. The people selling cheese were mobbed and sold out.

And so it came to me, bread, cheese, beer. The Tottenham Ploughmans. Working with Downhill’s Park café on the Sunday 8 September we’re holding the Tottenham Ploughmans picnic.
A chance to try the cheese, bread and beer made in Tottenham. The team from Redemption Brewery will be there to hand out their beer.
Buy a taster plate and then buy more if you want to. Hopefully you’ll be able to buy to take home too.

We need music if any local musicians would like to get in touch. And home made pickle and chutney makers in the area, where are you? We’d welcome more local artisan producers; get in touch. There’s a Facebook page for Tottenham Ploughmans.

Please come and join us.
We need something to celebrate in Tottenham.
